SHIPPING POLICY

Stafford’s Chocolates currently offers shipping via UPS Ground, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air to our customers during the cooler months of the year (generally 70 degrees or cooler). In order to ensure that your product arrives in perfect condition, we suspend the availability of UPS Ground and 2nd Day Air Shipping once the weather warms up in the spring, and make it available again once the weather cools in the fall.  We offer Next Day Air Shipping year round. We work hard to ensure that our product is delivered to you in the same condition that it was in when it left our shop.   Please see information below regarding temperature conditions.  We do offer in-store pickup from both our Porterville and LosOlivos locations year round. 

2016 HOLIDAY SHIPPING INFORMATION

Orders shipped via UPS Ground must be received no later than 12 noon Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, for delivery before Christmas.  We cannot guarantee delivery before the holiday when selecting UPS Ground after this date.  For orders placed after this date, we recommend UPS 2nd Day or Overnight Delivery

SHIPPING RATES AND METHODS DESIRED DELIVERY DATE

Shipping rates are determined by UPS, based both on the total weight of the order and the distance the shipment will travel. We ship exclusively with UPS and offer Next Day and 2nd Day Service to all destinations, and Ground Service only to certain areas of the country. Ground Services are only offered for CA, UT, AZ, and NV. Unfortunately, we cannot offer the Ground option to all destinations because our chocolate is time and temperature sensitive — we want our chocolate to reach you and your gift recipients looking and tasting just as fresh as it does when it leaves our shop.

If you are placing your order after 12 noon PST, your order will not be shipped until the following business day. Orders are not shipped on Thursdays or Fridays unless Next Day Air is selected. We do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays to ensure minimal time in transit. You will receive email confirmation when your order is shipped.  

DESIRED DELIVERY DATE 

If you have a specific Desired Delivery Date, please select the shipping that will ensure delivery on your preferred delivery date at checkout and we will ship your order accordingly. You can also help us out by specifying in our notes option. No Signature Required.

All orders are shipped “no signature required” which means the package will be left at the shipping address, which may mean simply left on a residential doorstep. We are not responsible if the package is lost or stolen after UPS has completed the delivery.

TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS

Shipping chocolate is tricky and nobody likes melted chocolate! If the destination city’s temperature is 70 degrees or warmer, please choose the Next Day shipping option. We’ll provide a lined package and ice packs to protect your chocolate. If you have chosen 2nd Day shipping, we are not responsible if the chocolates arrive melted and will not offer any refund.
