As kids, our pockets full of change from our weekly allowance, we’d make a beeline to Stafford’s Famous Chocolates in our small town of Porterville, in California’s San Joaquin Valley. We’d visit with Larry Stafford himself and came to know first-hand the passion he poured into his sweet treats and remarkable shop. 

In 2011, our family realized a dream to carry on the Stafford legacy, and have since been working hard to provide the high quality and attention to craft for which Stafford’s Chocolates is known. We continue to value partnerships with our local growers of nuts, fruits, and dairies, and to deliver our finest for you, our sweet-toothed fans, in person and conveniently online.

And we've grown! Mama Ganache Artisan Chocolates joined the Stafford's family in 2018, specializing in organic, vegan and fair trade chocolates made from scratch in our kitchen in San Luis Obispo, CA. Featuring an incredible selection of unique flavors and textures, these are some of the finest chocolates you will find anywhere.

Our sister location, Swedish Candy Factory in the historic Danish town of Solvang, CA, specializes in authentic Swedish Polkagris, made by hand on our traditional table made from bowling alley planks! This traditional treat is a hard taffy that becomes soft and chewy as you eat it. This is a treat not to be missed when you visit the Santa Ynez Valley!
