HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HANDMADE AND MACHINE-MADE CHOCOLATE?
Here at Stafford’s we see a huge difference between handmade and machine-made chocolate. Factories that make machine-made chocolate focus their production by the quantity instead of quality. At Stafford’s we pride ourselves in knowing that our customers will be receiving their freshest, highest quality of chocolate where each chocolate piece is hand dipped to perfection in small batches.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUGAR FREE AND NO SUGAR ADDED?
Nuts such as almonds, pecans, peanuts, walnuts and cashews have natural sugars. Hence, nuts dipped in sugar free chocolate have no added sugar but still contain natural sugar. Other sugar free products such as solid chocolate or creams contain no natural or added sugar.
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF OUR CHOCOLATE?
When properly stored, solid chocolate can be stored up to one year. Our other chocolate products such as truffles, sugar free, creams and nuts can be stored up to 4-6 weeks. Our turtles, English Toffee, and our hand dipped caramels should also be consumed within 4-6 weeks.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRUFFLES AND CREAMS?
Truffles have a very rich and creamy center, made up of cream, sometimes butter, and chocolate mixed together to make a ganache. Creams have a soft centered confection of cream and sugar with added all natural flavors. Both of our creams and truffles are hand dipped.
HOW MANY PIECES OF CHOCOLATE PER POUND?
It depends. Our one-pound box of truffles or caramels have 24 pieces. Our one-pound box of assorted chocolates or nuts & chews have around 32-38 pieces.
CAN CHOCOLATE BE FROZEN?
Yes, chocolate can be frozen. However, it is very important that the chocolate is packaged correctly before freezing. The chocolate needs to be in an insulated container with two plastic bags around it. When you are ready to remove the chocolate from the freezer, let the chocolate sit at room temperature while still in the bags for 24 hours before taking it out of the package. Feel free to call us if you have any questions if you try to freeze chocolates.
SHOULD THE CHOCOLATES BE REFRIGERATED?
Chocolate does not need to be refrigerated if the temperature of the room is 72°F or below. If the temperature is higher than 72°F then the chocolate can be refrigerated. Use the same method as you would if you were to freeze the chocolate.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TEMPER CHOCOLATE?
Tempering is of paramount importance as it is mainly responsible for determining the final gloss, hardness, and contraction of the chocolate. Tempering consists of heating the chocolate to a specific temperature as a result of which the cocoa butter it contains is brought to the most stable crystalline form resulting in hard, shiny chocolate.
DOES STAFFORD’S FAMOUS CHOCOLATES HAVE A RETURN POLICY, REFUND POLICY, OR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns on our goods. However, we do have a satisfaction guarantee at Stafford’s Chocolates. If you find the chocolates to be distasteful or not fresh, we will fully reimburse you. When it comes to canceling an order, you must contact us immediately via email or phone. Because our orders to be shipped leave our store so quickly, this is the best way to cancel an order.
